Peterson Family Foundation

The Peterson Family Foundation is a private, family-led foundation based in British Columbia. We focus on supporting organizations that strengthen communities, expand accessibility, protect the environment, and help young people reach their full potential. Our giving reflects our belief that prosperity, dignity, and opportunity should be available to everyone. We currently support several leading Canadian organizations including: Rick Hansen Foundation – advancing accessibility and inclusion across Canada through the Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) program and outdoor access initiatives. Power To Be – creating inclusive outdoor recreation opportunities for people living with barriers. Canada SCORES – empowering youth through after-school soccer, poetry, and community leadership programs. Wild First – advocating for science-based salmon conservation, sustainable wild fisheries, and the transition away from open-net salmon farms. Our work extends beyond grants. We collaborate with mission-aligned partners, community groups, First Nations, and government to support systemic change in accessibility, youth development, sustainable environments, and long-term economic resilience.
